The Ministry Training Center in New York City is operated under the oversight of DNI. It exists to prepare workers for service among unreached peoples and to provide opportunities for people to gain exposure to ministry in an urban, cross-cultural setting. MTC is located in Elmhurst, Queens, one of the most culturally diverse neighborhoods of the world. The location allows students to gain hands-on ministry experience with their target people group in addition to classroom training.
The Ministry Training Center's vision is to see every church passionate about going to all nations and each worker empowered to accomplish the task. The staff at MTC works toward this vision by keeping a central focus on their mission statement: "Impacting eternity by empowering individuals to share the Gospel globally". |
Long Term OrientationPreparing for service in a cross-cultural setting? NEW! Restore TrainingRestore Training is a trauma-based training committed to equipping our women to facilitate the restoration of women in hard places.
Our vision is to see Anabaptist women receiving the healing and redemption of Jesus in their own lives and then moving with Jesus’ power into the stories of trafficked and prostituted women. We envision a network of women who practice obedience, faithfulness, and sacrifice by moving into darkness with the light of the Gospel. Training will include outsourced certificate programs in trauma and crisis care, a three-day event specific to sex-trafficking, online Christ-centered counselor training, and six-weeks of Long-Term-Orientation for general missions. Trainees will be paired with a personal coach to receive in-depth mentorship and accountability during the six-month course of the program. We plan to launch the Restore website in January in preparation for accepting applicants for training beginning in the fall of 2020. Want more information? |
